Step by Step: Circular Paver Patio with Concrete Wall & Fire Pit Installation

Houston Landscape Pros provides a flawless install for Circular Paver Patio with Concrete Wall & Fire Pit. Materials, Delivery, and Installation is included with your circular paver patio package. Below is the step by step process for a 16 ft Circular Paver Patio with Concrete Wall & Fire Pit.

Circular Paver Patio

  1. Mark the dimensions of the circular paver patio with inverted marking paint.
  2. Remove existing landscaping inside the parameter.
  3. Level, grade, and compact the ground.
  4. Place bendabord around the perimeter.
  5. Install a weed barrier.
  6. Install 4’’ base of crushed granite/limestone and compact.
  7. Place flagstone pavers and make cutting to fit the circle.
  8. Fill area with blackstar gravel

Concrete Wall with Flagstone Top

  1. Remove existing landscaping inside the parameter.
  2. Level, grade, and compact the ground.
  3. Install concrete base
  4. Place cinder blocks according to shape.
  5. Insert iron rods in between the cinder block.
  6. Fill the cinder blocks with concrete and gravel.
  7. Add concrete to the outside of the cinder blocks.
  8. Place flagstone pavers on top of the wall.

RumbleStone Round Fire Pit

  1. Assemble pavers four layers high, using a Polyurethane adhesive to glue the pavers together.
  2. Fill 1/3 of the fire pit with gravel for drainage.
  3. Install barrier to protect the paver from heat damage.

Fire Pit Information

 

For custom cut pavers, we do not recommend installing the pavers lower than four layers high to protect small children from injury. Also, we make sure that the custom tops stick out rather than inside the pit, so there is no interference with the heat.

Fire Pit FAQ

Please remember to not use water to cool down the pit since the sudden temperature shock can deteriorate the pavers and coping. Instead, use a dome spark arrestor around the pit to put out the fire slowly.

The rumblestone fire pit is very durable and heat-resistant. However, we found with poor installations, a fire pit can explode when temperatures get too hot. Therefore, we choose pavers that can withstand temperatures between 800-1000 F.
